Our Story

We grew up watching the women in our families wrap their hijabs every morning like it was second nature. Our mothers, our aunts, our grandmothers, each one had their own way of tying it, their own favourite colours, their own quiet pride in how they carried themselves.

When we got older, we noticed something. Finding a hijab that actually felt like us, not just modest, but beautiful, well made, worth being proud of was harder than it should have been. Too many options felt like an afterthought. Like modesty and style were two different things you had to choose between.

Amâla started because we didn't want to choose anymore. We wanted something that felt elegant enough for how special this piece of fabric really is in our lives. Something our mothers would nod at and say mashallah, that's beautiful, not out of politeness, but because she actually meant it.

Every hijab we choose is picked with that standard in mind. Not just fabric and colour, but the feeling of putting it on and knowing you look like yourself, only more so.

This is still just the beginning for us. But we're grateful you're here for it — inshaAllah, this is only the start of something meaningful for women like you.

With love,
Amâla
